Summer’s harvest

Other than all of the wild blackberries we were able to get this year, our garden is not doing so hot. My husband loves gardening, and has been actively trying to put in a nice garden for the past 3 summers (ever since we moved to this house). And every summer there’s been something – too much heat, too much rain, etc. This summer we got a few apples on the trees (still not ready), a few blueberries and raspberries, a couple of gooseberries (I love those!), a few yellow and green beans, and some cherry tomatoes. We have 5 cherry tomato plants, and so far they’ve been producing really well. The challenge though is to keep woodchucks away from them, who also think that the tomatoes look and taste yummy.

We had these for dinner a couple of days ago:

They were so fresh and tasted amazing!

What’s growing in your garden this summer?
