Menu Plan Monday – week of April 6

I  am working on cleaning out my freezer this week, so you will notice that quite a few things on this week’s menu are utilizing either freezer cooked meals (that I’ve cooked a double batch of previously) or a lot of frozen ingredients. I would like to completely empty out my chest freezer by this summer, defrost it, wash it, and then start filling it up again with great meat sales that we have in the summer and *hopefully* some fresh produce from the garden.

Menu Plan Monday

Monday:  Stuffed cabbage leaves (with venison burger and brown rice) in carrot-onion-and tomato sauce.

Tuesday: Grilled beef smoked sausage (from the freezer), sauerkraut, boiled baby red potatoes with dill.

Wednesday: Chili from the freezer, bread or corn muffins, green beans from the freezer.

Thursday: Seder  dinner at friends’ house.

Friday: Crockpot venison stew with veggies.

Saturday: Turkey burgers with green salad.

Sunday: Easter meal: Ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, potato rolls, steamed baby carrots.
